Tracey Ower is a Registered Landscape Architect with more than 40 years of experience working across community, cultural, education, transport, and water sectors. She specialises in masterplanning, integrated design, and collaborative project delivery.

Tracey has called Kaioruru/Church Bay home for more than 25 years, but her connection with Banks Peninsula stretches back to her childhood. Over the years, she has developed a deep appreciation for the Peninsula's unique landscapes, communities, and biodiversity. She continues to be inspired by the many restoration and conservation projects taking place across the region and is passionate about helping protect and enhance the places that make Banks Peninsula so special.

Tracey previously served on the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Executive and the Lyttelton Design Panel, and currently she is an Assessor for the New Zealand Gardens Trust.

Her work is guided by a belief that well-designed landscapes should connect people to place, reflect cultural identity, and contribute to ecological restoration.

Tracey is also actively involved in local community and conservation initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys tramping, camping, and spending time in the natural environments she is passionate about protecting.
