Anna Cameron lives in Mt Pleasant with her family and shares a strong connection to Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū / Banks Peninsula and the Wairewa catchment, where she and her family are restoring native bush on their property.

Anna has spent more than 15 years working in conservation, environmental planning, and strategic leadership, including senior roles at the Department of Conservation leading nationally significant conservation programmes. She has extensive experience working alongside mana whenua, communities, NGOs, and government agencies on complex environmental issues and collaborative conservation initiatives.

Anna is passionate about protecting the natural places that shape our identity and wellbeing, and about ensuring future generations can experience thriving indigenous landscapes. When she’s not working, she can usually be found running local tracks, exploring the outdoors with her family, or spending time in nature on Banks Peninsula.
